The new Sorento was developed by designers who work in various divisions of the company located in the US, South Korea and Germany.

As a result, the new Kia Sorento of the 2015 model year has received the most innovative solutions for design, interior and technical equipment.

Thanks to this, the overall dimensions of Kia Sorento increased, its appearance became more serious.

The manufacturer notes that the length of the new SUV increased by 3.7″, in comparison with the predecessor, and the width increased by 0.2″. True, the height of the body of new items was reduced by 15 millimeters. Since the seats in the cabin were located at a lower altitude, the amount of free space under the roof did not decrease.

It is noteworthy that the engineers decided to improve the safety of the crossover crew by applying a variety of ultra-high-strength steel body elements. The number of such parts reaches 52.7%. In addition, similar elements are used from steel, which is produced using the hot-stamping method. Their share reaches about 10%.

A considerable amount of previously unused elements appeared inside. For example, the steering wheel, the design of the center console and the front panel, front and rear seats (optional 7-seater option), door panels were updated. Representatives of the company pay special attention to the use of better materials for interior decoration.
