2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class MSRP and MPG Review

By

Mercedes-Benz has spent nearly a century building a strong reputation for itself through its ultra-luxury sedans such as the S-Class. But still a majority of the population does not pack the budget to own an S-Class. Thus enters the CLA-Class sedan, which is the least priced Mercedes-Benz model and not only acts as a “crowd” puller, but also generates a new revenue stream for the European manufacturer.

The highly affordable CLA-Class can be yours at an unbelievable $30,000, something that most of the pickup trucks cost these days. At this price, the opportunity to own an uber-cool and luxurious Mercedes-Benz is a steal for all practical purposes. It has only been a year since the CLA-Class was launched, and yet, the company has already brought some significant changes to the new model. Talk about chasing perfection.

2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class Review

The CLA-Class takes inspiration from the more expensive and luxurious CLS-Class. Although the CLA-Class is the most compact car from Mercedes-Benz, it still feels like a full-fledged luxury sedan. Everything from the interior surface to the exterior design oozes high quality and has an upscale appeal. The seats are extremely comfortable for both city drives as well as highway rides. The cockpit resembles SLK variants more than the CL-Class. A 7-inch infotainment screen sits inside the cockpit. Complementing this is the dual-zone climate control and the keyless ignition.

The 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class is available in three trim levels, all of which are 4-Door sedans – a forward wheel drive CLA250, 4MATIC CLA250, and 4MATIC CLA45 AMG. The FWD CLA250 is the basic, most toned down trim level of the lot. Conclusion

The CLA250 trims bring a new category of customers for Mercedes-Benz. They are truly affordable, at least in comparison to their cousins, and yet have managed to blend the Mercedes-Benz signature luxury, comfort, and lavishness into themselves. Slightly adventurous customers will prefer the sportier CLA45 AMG, which already seems to be a winner among the competitors like BMW 2-series, and Audi A3.
