New Mini JCW Updated For 2015

At the Detroit motor show 2014 MINI introduced a preproduction variant of the topend model of the Cooper hatchback: 3rd generation  John Cooper Works, and after one year at the same Detroit motor show 2015 debuted its production-ready version.

The Detroit motor show has traditionally been an important first car event of the year. The exhibition doors which open in 2015 already in 27th time, is considered one of the most exciting car show in the world. More than 200 companies will present at the Exhibition centre name Cobo their new models, products and technologies.

Manufacturer has worked on the development of the vehicle, but neither outside, nor inside does the production model of the new Mini JCW 3 not differ from the concept. Outside the model stands out more aggressive bumpers, different mesh grille, thicker exhaust pipes and relief thresholds.

John Cooper  sports hatchback  got the original design wheels (for extra charge available 18-inch, in the base are 17 inches), and stands out sports seats and steering wheel, metal plates on the pedals, and other gear and re-issued devices.

Mini has submitted an updated version of its charged crossover Paceman John Cooper Works. The model received a minor redesign and reconfiguration control engine. Improved dynamic performance and the levels of fuel efficiency.

The exterior of the Mini Paceman John Cooper Works appeals to emotion and drive through black and red body painting. Use  of the headlights and tail lights glossy black frame in the design is the prerogative of this special. This combination is called a Piano Black Exterior and supplemented exclusive red paint Chili Red, available only to purchasers of the series John Cooper Works.

New Mini JCW Technical Improvements

MINI John Cooper Works 2015 hood is hiding a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbopower 231hp (320Nm) motor, paired with a manual and automatic 6speed  transmissions. From zero to hundreds trendwerk accelerated for 6.3 sec, and the version with automatic gearbox does it in 6.1 sec. However, the  previous generation  cars was 100 kg heavier (new weighs 1 205 kg), and was 39HP weaker.

Declared by the manufacturer, gas consumption in the combined cycle, depending on your transmission, is 6.7 or 5.7 l per hundred, respectively. Among other technical features it is important to note the presence of the reinforced Brembo brakes and electronically-locked front differential. And for an extra charge hatch can be equipped with adaptive suspension.

1.6-liter petrol “turbocharger” has not changed: 218 HP and 280 Nm. As before, in the case of Overboost mode torque can temporarily increase up to 300 Nm. However, mechanics worked on the engine management system, making the Mini Paceman JCW 0.1 faster accelerating from zero to hundreds and makes this jerk for 6.8 sec. Furthermore, increased by 3 km/h and maximum speed. Now the speed limit is 229 km/H.

At the same time decreased gasoline consumption: earlier in combined cycle car consumed 7.4 l, now it fell to 7.1 l, a good result, considering that the default model is equipped with “ALL4” FWD with torque distribution on the axles in the ratio 50:50. In the context of the same transmissions, nothing has changed. Buyers available 6-speed manual gearbox or similar automatic with manual shifting via paddles blades.
