Cadillac ATS Coupe Is Much Like The Sedan

By

In January 2014, at the car shows in Detroit, Cadillac organized the international debut of its new mid-size coupe called the ATS Coupe, created on the basis of a four-door model.

The car, which compared to the sedan of the same name, received more sports tuning of the main units and units, began to conquer the markets of the USA and Europe in 2014.

Not So Sporty Look

Externally, the Cadillac ATS coupe is decorated in one key with a tri-box (in front and behind they can not be distinguished at all), but due to the two-door body it looks even more impressive and interesting.

But here its slightly overweight profile with a large loin part does not in any way remind about sport, which gets out of the ideology of the car.

Thought-out Interior Design

The interior of the two-door of the ATS in the front part completely copies the one on the sedan – an original and beautiful design, thought out from the point of view of ergonomics, extremely expensive finishing materials and comfortable chairs with an excellent profile and a lot of electrical adjustments.

Here the rear sofa in the compartment is molded for two passengers, each of which will feel very free. The baggage compartment of the car can accommodate up to 10.4 cu ft of load (exactly like a four-door).

I4 or V6

For the Cadillac ATS Coupe there are two petrol engines combined with a rear-wheel drive transmission or an all-wheel drive based on the Haldex multi-plate clutch and a 6-speed automatic (the basic installation also with a manual gearbox for six gears). The first unit – a 2.0-liter “four” with direct injection and turbo, producing 276 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 260 ft lb of available torque at 1700-5500 rpm.

The second option is the 3.6-liter V6 atmospheric engine, equipped with a direct fuel supply system and a 24-valve timing system, the output of which is 325 horsepower at 6800 rpm and 273 ft lb of torque at 4800 rpm.

Coupe Cadillac ATS is built on the basis of the sedan of the same name, why it technically repeats it entirely: the GM Alpha trolley with MacPherson struts in the front and the five-link rear, ventilated disks in a circle with modern assistants and an adaptive electromechanical power steering ZF. Optionally, the car is equipped with mechatronic chassis Magnetic Ride Control.
