It’s been a long time since the latest Eldorado was released, and some improvements, particularly given by Cadillac on its latest series of Eldorado and some new features that carried to this model, the new Eldorado would be able to hit the market in its class.

The exterior of the new Cadillac Eldorado will be definitely based on GMs latest Cadillac-branded concept cars, as elegant classic looking convertible named Cadillac Ciel, introduced in 2011 Beijing Motor Show and more modern-touched design coupe named Cadillac Elmiraj. Both cars have similar design streaks and that means the new Eldorado would probably be much like those concepts in terms of design. It would feature modern edged design but with a bit of classic touch.

The interior of Cadillac Eldorado would be elegant and expensive-looking with the application of luxurious materials such as thin leather, titanium, and expensive sorts of wood used in interior decoration. Modern cars cannot do without variety of safety and entertaining gadgets and hi-end multimedia systems, and 2016 Cadillac Eldorado won’t be an exception. The engine selection is very important in this kind of cars, so 2016 Cadillac Eldorado should have a massive powerful engine as its predecessors. Despite the fact that previous generations of Eldorado had quite wide engine range, the new model probably will have only one option.

If the 2016 Cadillac Eldorado would be similar to concept car Cadillac Elmiraj in terms of powertrain, it will get 4.8 liter V8 twin turbo engine, with the output of approximately over 500 hp.

The transmission type is unknown yet, but it would definitely be automatic and RWD only, because according to information from some sources, new Eldorado will get so-called omega platform, which is suitable only for elegant coupes.
