2016 Cadillac LTS Will Be The New Model In The Lineup


Cadillac is preparing for a major expansion of the line. By the middle of 2015, the company plans to enlarge the lineup with ten new models. For example, we shall see a large rear-wheel drive sedan. The company also pays close attention to the hybrid versions, which should be a hit in 2016. The update will affect all models of the brand.

Cadillac LTS: the Company plans to introduce a large RWD sedan based on the new rear-drive platform Omega. According to preliminary information, the car will be launched in 2016.

2016 Cadillac LTS Concept Design

General Motors introduced the concept of rear-wheel drive sedan, which has received the name of Cadillac LTS. The car is made in the general Cadillac style. The length of the compartment is 5207mm, width – 1930mm, height – 1397mm. On the road Cadillac LTS will stand out, primarily due to a 22-inch cast disks. However, if the model is sent to a series, then most likely, wheels size will be less than on the concept.

Cadillac LTS concept created with an eye on the classic 1967 Eldorado coupe  and futurist 2011 Ciel concept convertible. Brand Cadillacs signature – vertical optics front and rear. On the coupe, these elements are connected by a thin edges running along the wings and under the canopy. But the sides of the body, mostly intentionally left blank. 2016 LTS Technical Features

The second piece of automotive technology will be the technology of communication V2V Vehicle-to-Vehicle, presented in Cadillac CTS 2017. V2V will reduce multiple collision when riding in heavy traffic, but will also improve the situation with traffic jams, transmitting and receiving basic essential for safe driving information such as the location of the vehicle, its speed and direction of movement, providing communication between the approaching each other cars. Moreover, this system will not only warn the drivers, but also to maintain an active safety technologies, such as existing front collision warning system.

“Heart” of new LTS – 4.5L V8 with two turbochargers, 507HP and 678nm. It is built using the elements, technologies and units taken from relatively fresh Twin-Turbo 3.6L V6 from the CTS Vsport model, but the new engine has expanded this set to the classic “big Americans” V8 scheme.

When Would Cadillac LTS 2016 Be Available?

Unlike most concept cars, the car already has adapted the chassis. Within a few months mule novelties passed the road test on public roads.

As previously reported, the new product will go into mass production in 2016. The production version, built on the platform of the Elmiraj concept, most likely will be LTS.

According to preliminary data, the future flagship will get 3 choices of finish: Premium, Luxury, and Platinum. For each level will be offered the original configuration of the rear seats. In Platinum are expected folding rear seats, with heated armrests and headrests, as well as with multiple massage modes, ventilation and heating.
