GM provided detailed data on performance of a sixth generation 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. Fastest SS version goes to sixty for about 4 seconds, but suprisingly, the 4-cylinder version is fast too!
The new Chevy Camaro get new Alpha platform like Cadillac ATS and CTS and now may called rather sportcar than muscle car. It is compact and considerably lighter than its predecessor. 2016 Camaro engine lineup consists not only new V6 and V8 engines but also turbocharged 4-cylinder 2.0-liter Ecotec producing 275 hp.

However, the SS version (Super Sport), the coolest Camaro, armed with 6.2-liter natural aspirated LT1 V8 producing 455 hp, accelerate (with manual gearbox) to 60 miles per hour in 4.3 seconds 4 seconds with automatic. The ¼ mile distance time is 12.5 and 12.3 respectively.
In the US, four-cylinder Chevy Camaro starts at $26,695, and SS version will cost at least $37,295. Sales starting this fall. 2016 Camaro convertible was also presented.
