The interior of 2016 Ford Escape will not undergo radical changes, according to new Ford policy to add new features and relatively small design improvements.
There will be new multifunctional steering wheel, and probably new controls on the central console. There would be also new trim configurations including even better modern interior upholstering, leather or fabric finishing.
Basic model will include the following equipment: touchscreen entertainment system with GPS, digital gauges on dashboard, air conditioning (2-zone), telescopic and tilt steering wheel, 6-speaker sound system, rear-view camera and park-assistant. Ford Escape available as a 5-seater but with optional third row of seats.

2016 Ford Escape engine lineup
The basic 2016 Ford Escape will probably come with 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with an output of 168 hp and 170 lb ft of torque. Another engine available for 2016 Ford Escape is from EcoBoost family, 1.6L, so it is turbocharged producing 180 hp and 185 lb ft of torque. The third option is the most powerful in Escape’s engine lineup. It is 2-liter straight 4 EcoBoost engine generating around 240 horsepower and 200 lb ft of torque. All those engines will be combined with 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The 2016 Ford Escape is front wheel drive. All-wheel drive system comes as an option.
