GMC Division as part of General Motors presented 2016 model year Terrain and Terrain Denali at the New York Auto Show.
The new compact SUVs get an updated front and rear facing and grille, hood and LED daytime running lights. For the first time, on models of SLE and SLT trim levels, side blind zone alert and rear cross-traffic system will be offered.
GMC Terrain became bestseller in 2014, the facelifted version tends to be even more popular. The new 2016 GMC Terrain will be available for customers in 2015 fall. The exact pricing is unknown but predicted to be started from $25 000 and up to $38 000.

2016 GMC Terrain exterior changes
New version of SUV gets modified LED daytime running lights, more relief bonnet, new design 18-inch for standard trims and 19-inch for hi-end Denali. The range of body painting enriched by two colors: Kohler White Frost Tricoat and Crimson Red Tintcoat. New styled grille design depends on a trim.

2016 GMC Terrain interior changes
There are less changes inside. The main changes are slightly modified center console, with a niche for small things, the updated dashboard graphics and new interior color scheme for Terrain Denali – Light Titanium/Jet Black. As for SLT trim sand color leather upholstery is available, and front passenger seat is now power-adjustable in 8 directions. Fabric-covered seats in SL and SLE trims are improved, gearbox selector is received chrome frame.
2016 GMC Terrain engines
For the new 2016 model year GMC Terrain the same engines as for current model are available . It is 2.4L capacity Ecotec engine producing 185 hp, with the fuel consumption in highway mode about 30-32 mpg (32 mpg by EPA) for front-wheel drive versions.
The second option is much more interesting and powerful. It is V-shaped 6-cylinder 3.6L engine which generates 301 hp and 272 ft lb of torque. V6 version of crossover is able to tow a trailer with a full weight up to 3500 lbs. The only option available for transmission is 6-speed automatic gearbox.

2016 GMC Terrain trim levels and equipment
The new GMC Terrain available in 4 trim levels: Denali, SLT, SLE (two variants) and SL. As for exterior, only basic SL version doesn’t have chrome decor. Premium clothing seats available in SL and SLE, leather upholstery available on SLT as well as power-adjustable passenger seat. GMC Terrain have 5 seats, with trunk capacity of 31,6 cubic ft or 63.9 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. All-wheel drive system available on SLE, SLT and Denali trim levels.
GMC IntelliLink multimedia system offers OnStar 4G internet connection with Wi-Fi spot with 3GB data 3-months trial period. GMC Terrain has also very notable feature – power liftgate with memory. It stops liftgate at the needed levels. It might be useful in low height garage or for drivers whose height is not enough. This system is available for SLT as an option, is a standard for Denali. GMC Terrain Denali also offers unique exterior (different style front grill, chrome decoration, Denali badges), interior (double colored upholstery and more), Dual-flow suspension system is a special damper control system which is providing better handling and more smooth ride.
