New Jaguar XF Received Many Updates For 2016


At the auto show in New York, launched on April 1, 2015, the world premiere of the second generation of the British “luxury sedan” E-Class Jaguar XF. Real Premium

Inside the Jaguar XF is perceived as a real premium car, and some merit in this belongs to XJ-motives. The dashboard is represented by a 12.3-inch display (by default – an analog combination with a 5-inch screen), a picture on which you can configure to your liking, and before it is based multifunction steering wheel, familiar to other models of the brand.

The 8-inch touch screen of the inControl with a 4-core processor (optional – 10.2-inch) is inscribed in the front panel, divided along the horizontal overlay. At the bottom of the center console is a button unit of the air conditioning unit with an understandable layout, and a little lower – two rounds: the volume knob of the audio system and the starter button, and their backlight line repeats the motif of the rear optics.

Traditionally, for the “Jaguars”, inside the premium mid-size sedan, high-quality finishing materials are applied – soft and expensive plastics, genuine leather, inserts made of real wood and aluminum. And the quality of performance is at an appropriate level.

The British Sedan Jaguar XF 2nd generation is equipped with comfortable front seats with an optimal packing, a clingy profile and wide adjustment ranges. Formally, the car is five-seater, but the rear-seat cushion is molded for two people, and a high transmission tunnel will discomfort the central passenger.

The increased base of wheels has positively affected the organization of free space – in the knee zone it is abundant, and the ceiling, due to its molding, presses on the heads of tall riders.

The Range of Efficient Engines

The base version of the sedan will receive a four-cylinder turbo diesel of 2.0 liters of Ingenium family, which produces 180 horsepower at 4000 rpm and 317 ft lb of peak torque at 1750-2500 rpm. Thanks to these characteristics, the “Brit” scores the first hundred in 8.1 seconds with a maximum of 142 MPH. The “top” diesel version is a 3.0-liter V6 with a twin turbocharger, the potential of which is 300 horsepower at 4000 rpm and 516 ft lb of torque at 2000 rpm.

It provides the “second” Jaguar XF acceleration to the sixty in 5.8 seconds, a top speed of 155 MPH. The petrol part of the British sedan is formed by one unit – a 2.0-liter aluminum I4 with a turbocharged and direct fuel injection that produces 240 HP at 5500 rpm and 250 ft lb at 1750-4000 rpm. The result is 7 seconds from 0 to 60, 154 MPH maximum possible speed.

In Europe, a 2.0-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 163 horsepower (280 ft lb at 1750-2500 rpm) will also be available for XF 2nd generation. With him, as with the 180-HP option, in addition to an automatic box, a 6-speed manual is combined. The most interesting are the petrol V-shaped “six” with a volume of 3.0 liters with aluminum structure and direct fuel supply to the combustion chamber.

The turbocharged version generates 340 HP at 6500 rpm and 331 ft lb of torque at 4500 rpm, and with a supercharger with a mechanical drive 380 horsepower and 339 ft ;b at a similar speed. The dynamics indicators for both variants do not differ: 5.4 seconds to the sixty and 155 MPH of top speed capabilities.
