There’s no accurate information on when to expect 2017 Chevrolet Silverado HD. There were a lot of rumors saying that the car would come at the end of 2016 but they haven’t been confirmed and Chevy Silverado HD 2017 is still not released. So there are assumptions that it may arrive in the beginning of 2017 which hasn’t been confirmed either.

The car offers you a 6speed automatic type of transmission known as Allison 1000. Whatever trim you choose you’ll have this transmission. There’re no official claims on the productivity of Chevy Silverado HD 2017 but it’s expected to be around 450 horsepower and 960 lb-ft torque. The standard engine variant is still Vortec L96 of V8 type which has as much as 6.0 liters. This unit is good for 360 horsepower and 380 lb-ft torque. It’s paired with 6-speed automatic type of transmission.

Let’s proceed to the juicy part now. The diesel engine is no other than a new version of Duramax. It’s V8 type which has 6.6 liters to offer. It’s assumed that this unit outputs up to 450 horsepower. So 2017 Silverado HD towing capacity of 18,100 lb and it can be used for hauling and trailering purposes. It’s a turbo diesel kind of engine which is good for better torque. Nevertheless, it functions in a smooth and quiet way. The new unit is equipped with a new electronic system by GM.

The exterior boasts about new colors such as Graphite Metallic and Pepperdust Metallic. New aluminum wheels are used now along with capless fuel fill.
