2017 Ford Ranger equipment

Thanks to the new start – stop technology fitted (switching the engine off when at a standstill in town), the Ranger should see a saving of up to 3.5% in fuel consumption, allied to a final drive ratio change, it should also see an improvement for highway driving also.

The fuel saving doesn’t stop there though; the engine driven hydraulic PAS pump has been replaced by a more economical electric unit, thus should see another 3% improvement.

The all-wheel drive version is electronically controlled, capable of switching between 4×2 and 4×4 drive and is also fitted with diff locks for when the going gets tough.

This sound like a winner. My business has been waiting for 6 years now for an American made small truck with great gaz mileages great features and that absolutely does not need to race 3.7 seconds to sixty like my Porshes, and is not needed to haul a whole lot of stuff, And does not compare to a morgage payment!
