Honda HR-V 2017 model year
The Japanese-made SUV, the 2017 Honda HRV, has received many updates compared with the vehicle for the current model year, with these having a positive effect on safety and comfort, and at the same time, fuel consumption.
The car has a similar platform as the Fit/Jazz model and has a quite unusual and impressive design.
2017 Honda HRV price
The price for the upgraded HRV should reduce slightly due to the use of modern, more efficient technologies. The starting price will be $18,950.
2017 HRV redesign
Also in the list of differences you can find an upgraded grille, a sunroof, larger sidewall and concealed rear door handles. The 2017 Honda HRV is equipped with a new front fascia: a rectangular bumper with anti-fog lights; air-intakes; a front radiator with a chrome line, which looks much sleeker; the bumper cover is styled with metal.
The rear door window, slightly moved towards the rear reflectors, has chrome trim. The 2017 Honda HRV has its turning signals integrated into the outside rear view mirrors.
The body has a fashionable coupé-like shape. On the radiator grille, between the intake and the hood there is an inset with the logo. It is noticeable that the intake has not been very successfully covered up – the substantial distance between the bands and the gaps in the mesh is too large. The headlamps have a teardrop shape with their pointed corners connected to the grille.
The rear section has also been reworked. The lights of the new 2017 Honda HRV are arranged horizontally. Overall, the back door will facilitate convenient access to the trunk. Because of the large luggage door, the bumper is still small.

2017 Honda HRV interior
The 2017 Honda HRV offers its future admirers the most spacious, comfortable interior, which it is possible to implement thanks to the location of the fuel tank in the center. The “Magic” seats are completely new. Their originality lies in the ability to expand cargo space due to the versatile configuration options: you can easily convert the seats into a flat floor.
The dimensions are relatively compact, but due to the spacious interior, the HR-V can claim the title of an elaborate crossover.
Unlike its competitors, there are no futuristic elements in the design of the interior of the 2017 Honda HRV, though the cabin feels modern, and what is more important – it is very comfortable. Higher trim models are equipped with a leather interior, providing the feeling of a premium car. From the driver’s seat it is very easy to control all the functions of the crossover, thanks to the simple operating multimedia complex, climate control unit, and handy functional steering wheel. The availability of various options (of which there are many) depends on the trim level.

2017 HRV engine and transmission
It is possible to choose from automatic (CVT) and manual transmissions that can cope with 1.5L engine capacity of 120 horsepower (probably unavailable for the US), or with a gasoline engine of similar size and power of 131 HP. There will also be the hybrid version with 30 horsepower motors and seven-speed robotic transmission.
2017 Honda HRV turbo
For years, Honda was known for its high-rev naturally-aspirated engines and has ignored the massive trend of using turbochargers. However, recently the new Honda Civic was equipped with a turbocharged engine and the taboo on using turbo was removed. It is unknown whether the new 2017 HRV is to get the 1.6-liter turbocharged engine used in the Civic or not. However, there is a strong possibility that in the near future almost the entire Honda model range will get turbocharged engines, at least for the European market, where turbos have become mainstream.
