2017 Hyundai Genesis coupe redesign

The appearance of the Coupe was the main selling point when Hyundai first released it; it looked good, quite sporty – a long, low slung hood and powerful stance, but it wasn’t just looks, it performed pretty well too. The overall look was enhanced by sitting on 18” rims.

As a result of the restyling, the car looked even more aggressive.

The latest model now has Xenon headlights fitted.

2017 Hyundai Genesis coupe interior

Despite the sporty looks, the overall feel of the Korean coupe is a bit lacklustre, the ergonomics and layout of the buttons, steering wheel and controls just don’t feel right, it isn’t helped with poor seating either; the headrest is non-adjustable and intrudes too much into the driver’s seat, pushing your head forward.

However, the seats are comfortable and supportive, and they are electrically adjustable. The steering wheel is leather trimmed and looks quite stylish.
The trunk can hold up to 330 liters of luggage.

A four-cylinder gasoline engine is fitted to the Coupe, fitted with a twin turbo system and direct gasoline injection and VVT. The 2.0 liter engine produces 250 BHP @ 6,000 RPM and maximum torque of 275 lb/ft, this means a top speed of 146 MPH.
There is also a 3.8 liter engine, this produces 347 BHP, which means a 0 – 60 MPH time of 7.6 seconds and fuel economy can see figures as high as 33.5 MPG on the highway.
