Not so long ago in the New York Auto Show Infiniti introduced its new SUV – 2017 Infiniti QX80. The flagship of the model line going through regular updates in order to compete with their rivals. Mostly the new product is designed for the North American market, where there are serious competitors in the class of full-size crossover SUVs. The upgraded version have changes in the interior and exterior, new items in the list of the electronic equipment, and in the engine compartment.

There will be four types of trim levels available for customers. The manufacturer will offer six colors for the body. The price will start at $65,000.

An exterior update is minimal. Changes were applied only to side skirts and front wings. In the pictures are clearly visible sculpted body lines. The ascetic appearance underlines the incredible power of this model. Facing grille with horizontal cross beams located was replaced by a chromed mesh. Spy shots show the presence in the car a completely new lighting. Fog lights are using LED-technology. The glow of the headlights changes its intensity automatically.

The luxurious interior of the car – is the standard of ergonomics. The unique shape of the seats and the special leather material does not allow the slide during cornering. Inside, there is a movable armrest. Bose multimedia has an eight-inch touch screen on the front of the console, wireless headphones, seven-inch monitors in the headrests of the front row seats, fifteen speakers, as well as four cameras with 360-degree visibility.
Standard equipment is very rich: electric adjustment of the pedal assembly, steering column and seats, ventilated front seats, climate control (four zone with air ionization function). After parking, steering wheel and driver’s seat automatically relegated, which allows a high comfort while getting out of the car. The trunk lid, sunroof, and rear seat rows are electric. Folding all rear seats create an incredible luggage compartment volume of 95.1 cubic ft. Also inside the car, there are a lot of different little things that create a pleasant atmosphere.

For comfortable operation, the driver will be offered adaptive cruise control, blind zones monitoring, emergency braking technology, lane departure warning. For a comprehensive safety system, the intellectual Safety Shield system is used. Multi-tracking technology tracks the environment and automotive components provide the highest level of active safety. Modern braking system constantly monitors the area in front of the machine.

For this update, the manufacturer keeps the previous power plant:V-shaped 8-cylinder with a peak power of 407 hp, 5.5-liter capacity, torque of 411 ft lbs. The engine was improved through the use of the variable valve timing feature. The engine is equipped with a seven-speed automatic transmission.
During driving on a highway the torque is distributed in a uniform mode for each wheel using an electronic system. When driving out of town or off-road intelligent system automatically selects a suitable and more efficient drive mode for optimum grip. Up to sixty of the new SUV is capable to accelerate in seven seconds. Top speed is around 130 mph (210 km/h).
