2017 Jaguar XJ facelifted


Recently the British automaker Jaguar was introduced 4-door sedan new 2017 Jaguar XJ. Facelifted XJ model have a revised exterior, upgraded interior, electric power steering, power units and new multimedia system. In general, the most charismatic executive British full-size sedan has benefited from the update.

Compared with the previous version, it may be noted that the appearance of the car has changed only slightly. There are new grille and bumpers. British flagship vehicle became the owner of LED headlamps and stylish DRL, which both form a two pair of J-letters.

This trick did XJ more expressive and attractive. Overall the rear lights also are filled with LED. The rear end has vertically-positioned lamps, which, incidentally, LED as well. The rear bumper has a chrome insert, and bottom cutouts for the pipes of the exhaust system.

The most notable change in the cabin, of course, is a multimedia system InControl TouchPro (the Intel quad-core processor, 60 GB hard drive, a navigation system, the ability to transfer images from a rear view camera, Wi-Fi). It is represented by an eight-inch touch screen.

Audio system called the Meridian, has 1300W of power and 26 speakers available, which will provide not only an awesome sound but also the possibility of communication between a front and rear row passengers through a speech broadcast via microphones mounted in the seat.

At the top trims in the second row will be offered separate seats with massage function and touch screen size of 10.2-inch, which are located in the back seat passengers.

Dashboard changes are not affected. For trimming only the highest quality materials are used.

Suspension is fully independent, multi-link. The range of engines includes 4 types of engines equipped with direct injection. All engines feature variable valve timing system and stop/start. Eight-speed automatic ZF transmission is available. The car has completely new electric power steering – EPAS, which allowed improve cornering and reduce the maximum flow rate.

2017 Jaguar XJ engines

The diesel version of the Jaguar XJ is represented by three-liter V6, rated at 300 horses; accelerate to sixty is just 5.9 seconds.
Gasoline versions:
The first gasoline engine – four-cylinder two-liter, producing 240 horsepower.
The second – a 6-cylinder V-shaped, 3-liter, 340 horsepower with supercharger.
And finally, the third one – five-liter V8 with three variants available:
