2017 McLaren P1 LM Sticks To Traditions

What makes this supercar distinctive on the street? It’s racing genes of course. If you saw a new McLaren you would understand that it sticks more to racing appearance than an everyday car. The front bumper has been changed a bit and now it looks even more aggressive than ever.

All the sponsor visuals have been removed from the body of this vehicle making it sleek and wholesome. As for colors set, there’s not much to choose from. In fact, 2017 McLaren P1 is bright orange which makes this car the center of attention. This color also brings new production to the original F1. Carbon-fiber is used again.

As soon as you touch the door of new McLaren you feel that it’s a legend reborn in front of you. Inside part of the auto provides you with freeway auto’s seats instead of conventional GTR’s strengthened variant. The dashboard includes more electronic features and virtual buttons. Air-conditioning has been improved as well following higher standards this time. The cabin itself is rather spacious. It provides enough place but perhaps not too much for those who are used to spacious vehicles.

As said before the new production continues to follow original traditions dating back to 90s. They still make cars good for the city streets as well as competitive on a racing track. It’s not a big deal for P1 to challenge such monsters as Bugatti  so what does it have under the hood? The latest P1 uses V8 type of engine with 3.8 liters of displacement. In comparison to its previous generation, the new production is 83 HP stronger.

Now the model is capable of developing up to 986 horsepower. Mostly the car will use seven speed transmission of dual-clutch type. It is said the new legend makes it 0-60 in 2.4 milliseconds. Nevertheless, carmaker has somehow managed to keep handling of the car rather sharp and reliable.
