The 2017 Porsche Macan has been described as a ‘hotrod crossover’ (the Macan S) and is based on the Audi Q5, but it lacks certain things when compared to the equivalent BMW, Range Rover and the aforementioned Q5.
Having said that, it looks stunning, goes well and is built as you’d expect it to be; if you’re in the market for a compact crossover (and have the spare money), you’d do well to choose the Porsche over some of the rivals, mainly because of the badge and the engineering, although of course, there is always a little extra kudos associated with the Porsche badge, and if that is your thing, then the Porsche will deliver.
The new 2017 Porsche Macan is already here and available in your local Porsche dealer. Now that the pre-sales rush is over, expect to see some good bargains and demonstraters for sale.
