Luxury as a Standard
It is the configuration options that distinguish the model between Japan or America; much of the equipment offered will be an option on the Japanese version, whereas the American one will have it fitted as standard.
The main thinking behind all of the equipment (not counting some minor changes), is safety; the official name being ‘Toyota Safety Sense’. It includes: auto braking system which responds to vehicles and pedestrians; a system of tracking and monitoring the blind zones; tracking system for road markings and cars, which move in the cross traffic behind; adaptive cruise control that reduces speed and slows down when necessary; adaptive headlights, which independently switch from low beam to high beam and vice versa; a control system for pressure in the wheels; a panoramic view system that allows to monitor what is happening on all four sides through the media display (even underneath the car).
