The new for 2017 Toyota Prado details have been released by Toyota, the main changes are different engines; they have borrowed the engine from the Hilux pickup – a 2.8 liter turbo diesel.
The updated Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV debuted in summer 2016 in worldwide market. The SUV still unavailable for the US market – the analogue of Prado in the US is Lexus GX.

Pictures released on the internet show that the Prado has undergone quite a make-over, with styling changes to the exterior, revised interior and a different line of power-plants. However, the new car has almost no change in comparison with facelfited 2015 model.
The 2017 model year car keep all features of the current Prado including fenders, headlights and overall styling.
The dimensions of Prado remain the same for J120 model: Wheelbase of 109.8 inches, length is 187.4 in (with spare wheel in interior), width is 74.2 in, with height of 72.6 in.
New Equipment Inside
According to rumors, the new Prado will get a rear view camera, heated steering wheel and a system for monitoring the blind spots, even on the base model.
The dashboard incorporates an integrated color display for the media system, and the center console has been redesigned around the gear lever. All those tech was really appeared in Prado, however still available only as an option on certain markets (like Australia, for example)

Wide Engine Range
Rumors also suggest that the engine will be a 2.8 liter turbo diesel, producing 160 BHP but with 295 lb/ft of torque, this will replace the current but outdated) 3.0 liter.
The engine will come from the Hilux pickup. However, the engine range remain the same though depends of the market.
The engine range includes basic 2.7-liter I4, 2.8L turbodiesel mentioned above (however 3-liter diesel remains as well as 3-liter turbodiesel), and a two versions of 4-liter V6 (270 HP and 278 HP for Europe/Asia and Australia respectively). The transmission choice remain 5 or 6-speed automatic, 5 or 6 speed manual depending on sale market.
