The long-awaited update will be shown by the end of 2016, and the car could appear on sale in mid-2017.

Release date: mid 2017

2017 Toyota Sequoia redesign

All the changes are aimed at small refinement of the shortcomings that were identified during testing by owners of 2013 version. If viewed from the front, you can still see a wide radiator grille, which reaches along the entire length of the hood. As light optics engineers decided to use bi-xenon headlights. This has led to a great improvement in the ability of the car to light up the road surface. At the bottom of the front bumper there is a small hole, made in the form of “smile” that looks quite positive. The grille has an aluminum surround. This greatly improves the appearance of the new 2017 Toyota Sequoia.

From the side an interesting platform catches the eye, intended to help passengers entering the passenger compartment. It is significant that it is made from the same material as the body. Top engineers have decided to add a special rubber band that prevents feet from slipping off during cold weather.

On the back of the car’s wide tailgate are the light optics, which are in two rows. A button for opening the trunk is hidden in a special cavity, which is above the attachment of the license plate. The shape of the rear optics is similar to the headlights of the Prado.

  • the dimensions of the model have been slightly increased;
  • the grille has been changed;
  • light optics of a new generation.

2017 Toyota Sequoia price

2017 Toyota Sequoia engines

Now the 2017 Sequoia is not just well-powered, but is one of the best. Evidence of this is the engine of the SUV, which has received a volume of 5.7 liters. It produces about 400 horsepower and torque in the region of 440 ft lbs. It is only possible to feel this power inside of this giant car.

In the cabin one seat can accommodate two people. They are so wide that there is lots of space. The padding everywhere is pleasant to the touch. The style of the interior looks attractive and appealing. The front panel has the original structure but is divided into two sections. It is not clear why this has been done, however there is a feeling that one side is for the driver and one for the passenger side. Present is modern multimedia including an LED touch screen. The instrument panel is placed in the wells and does not confuse the driver when trying to get information from sensors.

Due to the significant size of the cabin, the abundance of buttons does not throw you into panic. You can feel the moderation in the integrated functionality. The wheel itself has no abundance of buttons. Everything is quite modest. The Toyota engineers have installed more heaters, because such a SUV is harder to keep warm. To do this, a modern climate system is used. On the doors there is a considerable number of buttons that the driver may need during the journey.

2017 Toyota Sequoia transmission

The automatic transmission set has 6 speeds. The transmission they have created is the special pride of the company. In conjunction with this unit works the four-wheel drive with positive-locking center differential. This allows all sorts of fords and off-road conditions to be overcome. As for configurations, the model has as many as 3. They are SR5, Limited and Platinum.

  • great appearance;
  • high-quality suspension;
  • spacious interior;
  • powerful engine;
  • high permeability;

  • Come on TOYO

    Please change the body style!!! Still have 2001 which looks better than current design. Have bought a Denali and 2015 4Runner. Tired of waiting for something that looks a little more sporty than the disappointing oversized soccer mom looking minivan (Wife’s comment) . Use the Tundra or prefer the 4 Runner body style. Regardless fire your Design Team as they have ruined the best full sized SUV on the market!! Went from owning 5 Toyotas to just 3 because of poor design. Why can’t Toyota come up with a crew cab with a full sized bed? Traded Tundra for Ford and then a new Dodge. Common TOYO please listen!!

    My first Sequoia. Wow what a SUV. Just love it. They should make this SUV a bit longer, so when all seats are down, a 4’x8′ plywood can fit. it’s missing about 7″… My dad’s mini van fits…for 1/3 of the retail price. Make some of the control buttons more visible for the driver. The surround exterior sensors are very good, but missing one for the front bumper. (could come in very handy when parking in smaller/thither areas. This is a huge SUV…
