VW revealed 2017 Volkswagen Atlas – the ultimate 7-seat family SUV

In the US, there was a presentation Volkswagen Atlas – the first full-size SUV in the range of the German automaker.

Volkswagen Atlas Manufacturing will be carried out at the factory in Chattanooga (USA). The target market for the model is North America.

Atlas is aimed primarily at the US market. He – the largest in the Volkswagen line and perhaps the biggest car on the MQB modular chassis. It’s length – 5029 mm (233 mm more than the Tuareg), width – 1956 mm, and height – 1753 mm. That is a novelty in almost all areas larger than the Toyota Highlander, and its distance from the “nose” to “tail” is superior to that of the Honda Pilot.

2017 Volkswagen Atlas Specs

Volkswagen Atlas will be equipped with petrol engines volume of 3.6 and 2 liters. The 2.0-liter engine equipped with a turbocharger system and develops 238 hp, while the 3.6-liter unit – 280 hp Both engines are aggregated with 8-speed automatic transmission. Machines with a 2.0-liter engine can be front- or all-wheel drive and a 3.6-liter items – all-wheel drive only.
