2018 Audi A7 will continue the model line of updated Audi cars

Audi goes firm step to the complete renewal of its model range, which will be fully updated in the period from 2016 to 2018. We have already talked about the upcoming A6, now it’s time to accumulate all rumors and speculations regarding its luxurious coupe-style hatchback – 2018 Audi A7.

Without a doubt, the new car will be made in the same style as all the latest models of Audi – the new lighting, a sharp design and the most advanced technologies.

As before, the A7 will be almost identical to the model A6, but will receive a richer set of equipment and of course different body.

2018 Audi A7 release date

We should expect the reveal of the 2018 model year A7 in about the same time as the updated sedan. Therefore, we should expect a presentation at one of the European Motor Show near the end of 2017, while available-for-sale cars will appear only in 2018.

2018 Audi A7 price

Since the car will be manufactured in the more technological and expensive platform, we can expect higher prices. Probably, the cost will increase by no more than $5,000. Consequently, the initial trim level car will cost a potential buyer in about $75,000, which already comes very close to the Panamera, and more expensive than standard CLS.

2018 Audi A7 redesign

The front of the new 2018 A7 is almost completely identical to the future Audi A6, which can be seen in spy photos. Radiator grille will become wider, with narrower headlights by its side. In profile, the car will be only slightly different from the current model, retaining the look of a very long liftback. The rear end will receive new taillights and redesigned license plate placement.

On the spy shots, we could see a retractable spoiler in released position, but we hope that it will be released only when necessary.

The interior will be executed in the new style, and probably fully electronic dashboard (Audi Virtual Cockpit) will be available in the initial version. The rest of the interior will completely repeat the A6.

2018 Audi A7 specs

Like many other models of the VW Group corporation, the new 2018 Audi A7 will use MLB Evo modular platform. This platform is lightweight, has a positive effect on the handling and fuel economy.

The engine lineup will completely repeat the sedan, except for the initial 4-cylinder engines. It is possible that for the A7 will be available exclusively with V6 engines, a turbocharged and naturally-aspirated ones.

2018 Audi A7 will be available only in versions with full-time all-wheel drive Quattro. As transmission type, 8-speed automatic will be used.
