2018 Audi A8 redesign
To imagine how the new 2018 Audi A8 will look we don’t need to think long. Audi has hinted all this a year ago, showing a concept called Prologue. The prototype developed by chief designer Marc Lichte. The main “know-how” design became a huge, wide hexagonal grille, tapering headlights, more explicit forges in the body and the bumper, sculpted hood. In general, everything that we have seen in the recently presented Audi A5 Coupe.
The new generation will be marked D5 and will boast updated doors with a reduced part of the glazing, fully LED headlamps and flashlights to the active turn signals and other design elements of the Prologue we’ve seen on the concept.

2018 Audi A8 engines
For several generations of motorists, Audi A8 is an example of absolute power. Audi always sets the most powerful and voluminous motors in its flagship. The same trick Audi engineers are going to do this time.
It is expected that under the hood of 2018 Audi A8 may be placed several top engines. One of them is the 6.0-liter bi-turbo W12 engine borrowed from Bentley Bentayga (600 hp and 663 ft-lb of torque). W12 may be the new top-end engine for the A8.
Alternatively, under the hood of the executive sedan will go 4.0-liter TDI V8 from SQ7. It is unique diesel engine with 435 hp output, twin turbo, and electric supercharger.
The rest of the range of engines will reflect what the automaker offered today, the basis of line up – TDI and TFSI power units in the V6 format. We consider an all-electric version of the E-Tron, it has the potential to become an alternative to Tesla Model S – depending on travel range per one charge.
S8 sports sedan may be equipped with a turbocharged V8 engine (probably in a hybrid version).
