The 2018 Audi S4 (as you may know) is the hotter version of the A4, its competition comes from the likes of the Cadillac ATS-V, BMW 340i, Jaguar XF S and the Mercedes C450 AMG Sport; that’s quite some market to be competing in!
Despite some image problems (Audi drivers are considered to be … different!), you can’t deny that Audi make some awesome cars – always really well put together with dynamic handling and performance, even more so for the S range of cars.
There isn’t that much official information available regarding the 2018 S4, but we’ve been talking to our sources to see what they say.
2018 Audi S4 Release date
We are reasonably sure that the new 2018 Audi S4 will hit the American shores in the early part of 2017, although that hasn’t actually been confirmed by Audi yet.
2018 Audi S4 release date: early 2017
2018 Audi S4 Price
Again, nothing official, but looking at existing prices and the competition, we’d expect to see the 2018 S4 start in the region of $58,000.

2018 Audi S4 Redesign and changes
Let’s start under the hood, for that is where the biggest changes are.
On the face of it, Audi have kept the 3.0 liter V6 engine from the previous model, however, one thing that Audi have announced is that although the base engine is the same, there have been over 800 modifications for the 2018 model, all mainly to do with upping the power and increasing efficiency. Aside from the internal changes (reworked cylinder heads and combustion chambers for example), Audi have gotten rid of the supercharger and gone back to turbo charging, this should mean 354 BHP and 369 lb/ft of torque.
0 – 60 is taken care of in just 4.7 seconds and power runs to all four-wheels (with a 60:40 rear bias) via an 8-speed auto transmission. The system can send as much as 85% of the power to the front or rear wheels if slippage is detected.
2018 Audi S4 Interior
As you’d expect from Audi, the interior manages to combine sportiness with luxury and of course, it is really well screwed together, for 2018, we’ll see a sprinkling of aluminum and alcantara in the cabin, which further enhances the sporty sedan.
We’ll also have Audi’s virtual cockpit instrumentation and a massive 12.3” screen.
2018 Audi S4 Exterior
Outside, there isn’t much difference, although the new S4 will sit almost an inch lower than the standard A4, although there will be variable dampers and suspension as an option; this will work in conjunction with the driving mode selector which will tailor gear changes, throttle and suspension to suit each mode.
