GM is continuously working toward improving its mid and full-size pickup truck range, we’re expecting to see the new Chevrolet Silverado in 2018; with a slightly updated design and revised engine range.
The Silverado is still one of the most popular pickups on sale in the U.S., and GM intend to keep it that way by introducing slight upgrades.
There are no confirmed specs as yet, but there are a lot of rumors.
Think evolution rather than revolution; same chassis, large engines and classic design.
More details are expected later this year, but it is thought that the new Silverado could debut in the middle of 2017 at one of the large auto shows; Detroit or New York.
Release date: 2017

In terms of the exterior, the new truck will only have minor changes, keeping the overall, bulky shape and appearance that the truck is known for.
The 2018 Chevrolet Silverado will have four doors (double and crew cab versions), a radiator grille that covers most of the front end, a chrome fender and LED fog lights.
Prices are expected to remain constant, perhaps increase slightly, although that could be dependent on engine specifications. Base model prices for Silverado 2018 will be approximately $30,000 for the 1500 version.

2018 Chevy Silverado New Interior Features
The Chevrolet Silverado 2018 is easily able to accommodate 5 adults; the cabin is spacious and comfortable with lots of little storage areas for the general day to day things that motorists fill their cars with. The interior is also trimmed in high quality leather.
There is MyLink media system with an 8” touchscreen fitted, and the car supports Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and the latest satellite navigation system. There are further options available; USB ports, Bluetooth and satellite radio to name a few. There is also a good level of safety equipment fitted as standard; ABS, airbags, parking sensors and blind-spot monitoring.
Just like any full-size pickup truck, Silverado comes in three modifications, differs from the size of the truck and it’s hauling abilities: 1500, 2500 and 3500 (two latter has 2018 Chevy Silverado HD designation, which stands from Heavy Duty). 2018 Chevy Silverado SS modification is not available.
The basic pickup truck, 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500, competes with F-150 from Ford and Ram 1500. It comes with a wide variety of trim levels and engine options.
It is a heavy-duty modification of the Silverado, designed to more severe conditions required more hauling or heavier cargo weight. It might be equipped with a powerful turbodiesel engine. Another name for the truck is 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500HD.
The ultimate 2018 Chevy Silverado HD is 3500. The most powerful and reliable pickup truck for towing big things or transporting heavy load.
2018 Chevy Silverado Will Get New Engines
It is thought that Chevy Silverado 2018 will get two specifications of engines, a classic 6.0 liter V8, producing 360 BHP and 380 lb/ft of torque and a more advanced 3.6 liter turbocharged V6, producing 305 BHP.
Both engines will be coupled to a 6 or 8-speed auto transmission, but some sources are now saying that thanks to the strict emission laws, the new truck might be fitted with 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 or perhaps even a 2018 Chevy Silverado diesel modification.
Latest reports also say that the 2018 Chevy Silverado aluminium will be released to reduce weight (and help emissions) and will be available in only a full, four-wheel drive version.
