2018 Chevy Trailblazer might be available for the US

The 2018 Chevy Trailblazer is a popular SUV and has sold well for Chevy over the years. However, in an ever increasing market, Chevy are hoping to open up the market and take a larger share; many customers tend to stick with one brand or model over multiple vehicle purchases, Chevy hope to tap into the other brands and win some new customers.

Whether the redesigned Trailblazer will be enough to do that, no one really knows, but at least we have a new model from Chevy to look forward to.

Not a huge amount of information has been released by Chevrolet regarding the new 2018 Chevrolet Trailblazer, but we expect to see it hit the showrooms in the second quarter of 2017.

2018 Chevy Trailblazer Redesign and changes

As we’ve already stated, Chevy want to try and win more customers from the other marques, to do this, they are upgrading the Trailblazer to make it look a little more modern and slightly aggressive; that seems to be the recipe for good sales of these vehicles.

2018 Chevy Trailblazer Specs

Under the hood, we’re going to see a 6.2 liter V8 gas engine, this will push out 460 BHP and 465 lb/ft of torque, which is plenty, but there are rumors of a diesel motor.
Now, we know that generally, America doesn’t like diesel power, but in this case, a big diesel motor would work well, giving plenty of low down torque – easily 550 + ft/lb. We don’t know what transmission options will be fitted at the moment, but no doubt it’ll be auto (helps with the economy) and it will drive all four wheels.

On the outside, the Trailblazer will get updated styling, mainly centering around the hood, front fenders and grille; the grille will be oversize with a large Chevrolet logo bang in the middle of it – definitely no mistaking the brand. The headlamps will also be redesigned and updated; using xenon lighting with LED technology, this will also be the same for the rear lighting.
