2018 Dodge Charger redesign

Dodge Charger looks impressive and deliberately aggressive – awesome front with the evil eye optics and a large grille, “muscular” profile with rapid lines and “inflated” wheel arches, monumental rear with lights across it and a massive bumper with diffuser. From what angle you look, it is attractive, fairly solid and definitely sporty.

It would be still 4-door sedan only – don’t expect such things as 2018 Dodge Charger coupe or 2 door, since there are Challenger on the market.

2018 Dodge Charger Scat pack is unlikely to be available, since this package is dedicated exclusively for 2-door Challenger. There are could be a new 2018 Dodge Charger Daytona car, similar to the previous generation Charger.

2018 Dodge Charger SRT8 is no longer available under this name, the current lineup of Dodge vehicles use SRT abbreviation.

2018 Dodge Charger RT

R/T is a standard designation for the Dodge’s hot cars. Charger is no exception. Current generation features HEMI V8 engine as a standard for this modification. 2018 model year car might switch to more compact turbocharged unit, at least there are plenty rumors about it.

2018 Dodge Charger Hellcat

Hellcat modification of Charger is an ultimate 2018 Dodge Charger SRT version, equipped with the most powerful engine in FCA range – 6.2 liter supercharged V8, producing 707 HP. In terms of exterior design, 2018 Charger Hellcat features more advanced bodykit, as well as hood with a large air vents.

2018 Dodge Charger interior

The interior of the sixth gen Dodge Charger is not replete with an excess of the original decision, but it looks beautiful, expensive and sportily. Three-spoke steering wheel with embossed outlines crowned controls, instrument panel with two “wells” and an elegant and informative color display with the massive center console on flaunting 8.4-inch multimedia system and ergonomically-engineered climate control.

More likely there will not be so many changes in the next generation of car. We only hope Dodge will add something special to the design, just to feel you’re driving not an ordinary mid-size “sporty-like” sedan, but a powerful beast.

2018 Dodge Charger specs

For Charger offers a wide range of power plants, combined with 8-speed automatic transmission and rear wheel drive (with the base engine also provides AWD system automatically connects the front wheels). Under the hood, the starting version of the car has a 3.6-liter V6 engine with multipoint fuel injection and the 24-valve timing, which generates 296 horsepower. Follow the hierarchy of performance R/T put a V-shaped eight-cylinder unit HEMI with a mechanism for adjusting valve timing, multiple injection, and system of cylinder deactivation, which is when the amount of 5.7 liters produces 375 HP.

Hot version R/T Scat Pack and SRT have monstrous V8 HEMI engine displacement of 6.4 liters, equipped with multi-point injection, variable valve timing, producing 492 HP. The “top” modification SRT Hellcat has 6.2-liter V-shaped HEMI “eight” supercharger and distributed injection, producing 717 peak horsepower at 6,000 revolutions/minute and 649 ft-lbs of torque. In 2018 Charger certainly receive a new turbocharged engine with Fiat joint development. It can replace a 6.4L V8 Hemi overly cumbersome and outdated.
