Very little information is known about the 2018 Ford Excursion, although as with most vehicles that are some way off, speculation is absolutely rife regarding what we’ll see and what to expect. It must be said that Ford have confirmed nothing regarding the new model, so we’ve had to rely on trusted industry sources and knowledge to bring you this article; most of this is what we think we’ll be getting from the new Excursion.
Keep checking back for updates; if you know more than us, please get in touch and let us know!
2018 Ford Excursion Release date
There is absolutely no information regarding the new 2018 Ford Excursion SUV, Ford have neither confirmed or denied the rumors. However, given that we haven’t seen any spy shots of a new full sized SUV wearing the Blue Oval’s badge, we think that it hasn’t even got to full prototyping stage yet.
This means that we will be waiting for quite some time before they release a model for sale, we’re fairly sure that you won’t see an Excursion before the end of 2017.
2018 Ford Excursion release date: late 2017
2018 Ford Excursion Price
Again, we’ve had to take an educated guess at this, but given the market that the Excursion will compete in, we think prices will start in the region of $46,000; add a few extras or pick a higher trim and that price will be closer to $56,000.

2018 Ford Excursion Redesign and changes
As with most new model years, unless the manufacturer is going for a completely fresh look, the most likely candidates for upgrades and restyling are the bumpers, lighting, grille and hood. The renderings that we have seen make the new Excursion look very menacing; painted in matte black, with black wheels, black grille – you can spot a theme here!
Aside from the physical size of it, the 2018 Excursion looks pretty good, if a little boxy and square edged.
2018 Ford Excursion Specs
Under the hood, we think that Ford will offer two choices for motor, a 3.5 (perhaps 3.6) liter V6 EcoBoost motor (365 BHP) or a 5.0 liter V8 (this would need a minimum of 400+ BHP). We’d suspect that it will be rear wheel drive as standard, with a full four wheel drive as an option, possibly a 7-speed auto transmission will take care of the gears.
The only other thing that is known is that Ford will be loading this full size SUV with tech; to be competitive within its market sector, it will need to keep up with the rivals, who have all started loading their vehicles with tech.
