2018 Ford Expedition Revealed With the All-New Design

Ford has introduced a new generation of full-size SUV – Expedition.

Designed to carry up to 8 people Expedition became 300 lbs lighter thanks to aluminum body panels and a steel frame of a new design. Similar technology solutions used in Ford F-150 design.

Specifications

The engine is only one to choose – a 3.5-liter V6 turbocharged unit. Ford has not yet disclosed the specific numbers, but said that the engine of the new Expedition become more powerful than before, which develops 375 HP. Transmission declared as 10-speed “automatic” with the new gear switch.

The car can be ordered in the rear wheel drive or all-wheel drive, implemented by means of “hand-outs”. It is noteworthy that in spite of the frame structure, the rear suspension is independent.

The new generation of the SUV Ford received electronically controlled differential lock and with Terrain Management system that allows you to choose from several modes of driving, depending on the type of road surface.

Interior

Engineers have paid considerable attention to the interior of the car – a generational change on the third row of seats, which got back with the slope. The second row of seats can be to push for access to the third even with a child seat installed. All seats can be folded into a flat floor for transporting bulky cargo.
