The Fast and Beautiful 2018 Infiniti Q60

By

The Q60 was successfully relaunched in 2017, as a new sleek-designed sports coupe, with awesome-looking styling, big rims, available in a wide variety of modifications, from simple 2-liter to powerful twin-turbocharged V6. The car is spectacular itself, so there is actually a minor change for the 2018 Infiniti Q60, mainly connected with the packages and naming.

2018 Infiniti Q60 Changes

The list of important changes of the Q60 coupe is minimal. There is a new exterior color called “Solar Mica” – bright yellow color. New 20-inch rims available for top-trim Red Sport 400 modification, new wheels design for Sport trim car with the increased tire width.

The other changes connected to naming – package lists names are identical now to any other Infiniti on sale, called Pure, Luxe, ProASSIST, ProACTIVE and Sensory.

Pure Power

The 2018 Infiniti Q60 is quick and powerful in every modification. The basic car has a 4-cylinder inline engine with turbocharger, producing 208 HP out of 2-liter unit, could be a rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

The next step is 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 with the output of 300 HP, available only in higher trims, with AWD or RWD as well.
The flagship 400HP 3-liter V6 is available only for RED SPORT 400 modification and makes the 2018 Q60 the real sports car, to compete with Audi TT RS, BMW M4, and other hot cars.

Trim Levels and Equipment in Infiniti Q60 2018

There are total 10 modifications of Q60 available for purchase, that quite a lot. Actually, there are only 5 of them, the rest are AWD-equipped cars.

Standard trim is called PURE (previously unnamed), features 19-inch alloy rims, dual zone climate, power windows and mirrors, keyless entry, 8-way power seat for driver and passenger, multimedia with Bluetooth connectivity. All these starting from $38,950.

Second trim called LUXE (previously Premium) adds sunroof, Bose sound system and auto-dimming rearview mirror. This car costs $41,300 for RWD modification without options. LUXE trim level for 3-liter engine adds electric steering system.

Sport trim, starting from $48,300 (V6 only) has adaptive suspension, paddle shifters, leather seats with memory function, sports brakes, aluminum pedals, power steering wheel adjustment, auto-dimming outside mirrors.

Red Sport 400 has all the same features as Sport, only differs by exhaust system design, different wheels, and red brake calipers. Top trim started at $51,300.

Exterior and Interior

We already said that exterior design is one of the best in class – the car is pretty, and unlikely to be outdated for the next decade, which is nice. Top trims also feature big rims, different body kit and dual exhaust, making the car look even better.

As for interior… well, that’s one of the examples when externally the car looking better. Actually, there is nothing wrong with 2018 Infiniti Q60 interior – it has high-quality materials, all bunch of modern features, premium feeling. But the design feels so Nissan or Hyundai cars like 5-10 years ago, even the double screen center console doesn’t make it feel modern.
