The Audi A7 is the sleek, re-bodied version of the popular A6 sedan, it goes head to head with the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class and the BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe.
Chief designer of the Audi A7 is Marc Lichte, he had the hard task of improving the looks of the A7 from the predecessor, looking at the pictures we’ve seen, he’s definitely cracked it.
This next gen A7 has taken styling cues from 2014 Prologue Concept and used them to great effect.
2019 Audi A7 Release date
Audi have already been out testing the new 2019 Audi A7 on public roads, there have been plenty of spy shots released and we think that Audi will unveil the new model officially in the very late part of 2017, with a full production run and dealer roll out toward the third quarter of 2018, as a 2019 Model Year.
2019 Audi A7 release date: Q3 2018
2019 Audi A7 Price
Audi haven’t released details of the price, but the current A7 model starts at $68,800. Add in a little inflation, perhaps a few bucks for the extra tech and we could see that price climbing to nearer the $70,000 mark for the base model, and of course, there will be plenty of options to skyrocket that price.

2019 Audi A7 Redesign and Changes
Lichte says that the ‘DLO’ or ‘daylight openings’ (the phrase used by designers to describe the side window openings) have remained consistent with the current model, but many other things hae changed.
The A7 will be built on the MLB Evo platform, meaning that we should see a significant weightloss – perhaps as much as 200 lbs from the current model.
The grille is wider (taken from the Prologue) and the rear lights have become wider and slimmer, which helps to give a much sleeker appearance.
2019 Audi A7 Specs
Audi USA haven’t released powertrain options, but we’re confident in saying that the U.S. won’t be getting the diesel version, which is a shame. We know that in Europe at least, the base model will be fitted with a 2.0 liter turbo charged 4-cylinder, with 252 BHP and 273 lb/ft of torque. AS to whether that will be the same here or not, we don’t yet know.
2019 Audi A7 Interior
Inside the cabin, Lichte says that the interior will be futuristic, featuring several TFT displays and have swiping functions for the screens to control various aspects of the tech. It will also have the ability to mimic the much loved feature of the Tesla – being able to summon the car from a tight parking spot.
