Subaru Legacy 2019 Keep The Technical Part Unchanged

Subaru really only came to be known worldwide thanks mainly to their efforts in the World Rally Championship back in the 90’s. Before then, they were just another manufacturer that produced average cars that seemed to be a little ‘out there’ when compared to regular brands.

For anyone looking for something a little different, Subaru are right up there and they make damn good cars; the performance and reliability are good, and now, they’ve even got the styling right. Perhaps the only question that needs answering is whether you’d get on with the flat-four motor, which gives the Sub a very distinctive sound, especially when you’re making progress.

Release Time and Price Tag

Rumor has it that the next generation 2019 Subaru Legacy GT release date will be expected from June 2019. Expect to see a full public debut at one of the major auto shows sometime in the earlier part of 2018. Later we could read and see the first reviews.

Subaru haven’t released any official pricing structure for the upcoming 2019 Subaru Legacy GT, but going on current prices and what we’d expect, we think that the new Legacy will start in the region of $22,000 for the base model.

2019 Subaru Legacy Redesign Shows New Styling

From what we know from rumors, the future 2019 Subaru Legacy redesign won’t be a revolution in styling or design, but it will get a few updates in the styling department; enough to distinguish it from the predecessor for sure.
Up at the front, the grille will be restyled and have chrome inserts and it will be housed between two new LED headlamps and LED fog lights. The rear of the car will also receive some updates with a modified rear bumper, new LED lighting and dual exhaust.

The dimensions of the car, including length and width is likely to remain the same. The car will be available only as a sedan in the US market, station wagon modification is replaced by Outback a few years ago.

2019 Subaru Legacy Specs

Under the hood will be the regular flat-four 2.5 liter engine, which pushes out 175 BHP and 174 lb/ft of torque, but there will also be a 3.6 liter V6 with 256 BHP and 247 lbs of torque. All engines will run a CVT style transmission and of course all-wheel drive. Don’t expect the new Legacy to sporty though – the 2.5 liter will do a zero to sixty dash in 9.4 seconds in sport mode. Yawn. And unlike Impreza, no turbo versions available.

Thanks to the use of lightweight construction materials, the new Legacy will shed a few pounds, giving the handling and ride quality a little boost, along with gas mileage.

2019 Subaru Legacy Interior and Equipment

The cabin isn’t going to expect to much changes in terms of styling, although it will get updated trim materials. The tech fitted will be upgraded and even the base model will have StarLink infotainment touchscreen system, rear view camera, dynamic torque vectoring, keyless entry, Bluetooth, smartphone integration and air conditioning.
