It has taken less than a year for the companies to produce this auto according to the contract concluded. GM was a useful partner for the army because this carmaker is helpful at producing ideas fast. Thus, the innovative approach offered by GM was to use fuel cells in production.

It helps to expand opportunities for the vehicles used by armed forces. For example, torque performance increases along with other aspects. Both parties had laboratories to test fuel cells. The laboratories were located close to Michigan. In fact, testing of Chevy Colorado ZH2 is still in progress. It will have been finished by the first days of 2017. What does GM benefit from such collaboration? The company has a chance to test fuel cells and to understand how their potential can be used for civil drivers.

2017 Chevrolet Colorado ZH2 is around 6 feet in height and 7 feet in width. The model uses chassis of stretched type which is borrowed from the midsize pickup. There is an opinion that this is the chassis used for the second generation of Chevrolet Colorado. However, this information has not been confirmed officially. Chevy Colorado ZH2 uses tires of 37 inches. Its suspension has been modified in a way that the car can drive over significant obstacles. The auto uses Exportable Power Take-Off technologies. Thus, it is possible for the auto to be powered by fuel cells. It is useful in areas without electricity.
