A happy hour for Ford Bronco fans: it is coming soon enough! At the latest North American International Auto Show in Detroit this vehicle has been announced. This time we expect something of a midsize. The official representatives describe this production as midsize 4×4 which doesn’t know any compromises. Ford Bronco has been long rumored to come back to the production and now there’re some cool features which may be used this time.
The last generation of Bronco which was ended in 1996 used Ford F-150 technologies. It was a two-door neat looking model with smooth lines. Some sources believe that new generation will share retro design. There’re really such plans as to return the two-door Bronco with a removable roof.
However, the market of vehicles like this is pretty limited so many fans say that upcoming Bronco will inherit a lot from Everest which is based on the technologies of Ford Ranger.
With that the carmaker promises that it will be all new model but not something imitating Everest. In terms of size though it will be a decent vehicle. On the one hand, it will become much smaller than Bronco II.
On the other hand, it will have a body much bigger than the classical variant. Judging from this we can expect a typical mid size SUV which will have enough space inside but it will be quite compact as well. Will it retain two-door traditions? Once again it’s unlikely because on today’s market four doors are in demand. As a result, new Bronco is likely to be a four-door SUV.
It won’t come as a surprise if Bronco will include the same engine and transmission as Ranger has. These models share the same platform which means that they’re likely to have the same engines. Well-known Ford EcoBoost may be used for Bronco but it’s still one of the rumored variants.
It’s also said that the new generation of Bronco will arrive with a number of engines you can choose from. In other words, depending on your needs you can buy something individual. One of the best possible variants of engine for Bronco is 5.0-litre V8 which has the productivity of 361 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. In terms of the rivalry Bronco is going to compete against Jeep Wrangler which shares the same niche market. Needless to say that more powerful engine will give Bronco a big advantage.
To sum it all up, the new generation of Ford’s Bronco is going to have five awesome features which will make you stunt. First of all, it’s an amazing retro designed body which may at least come as an option.
In addition, it will the model of an appropriate size equipped with Ford EcoBoost engines which are more powerful and efficient than other mid size SUVs have. Plus a reliable platform. With such advantages new Bronco is doomed to be a success.
