The South Korean company Hyundai has officially unveiled the updated Accent 2017 model year. It is known that the new vehicle will be released in two body styles – sedan and hatchback.
After the car was presented some time ago, the developers have made some changes and modernization; the sedan changed its name and will now be called Accent Sedan SE. The hatchback will be called the Accent SE/Sport Hatchback.
So far, technical specifications and options have been kept secret, but the company states that in technical terms, the car is fully updated.

2017 Hyundai Accent hatchback
There is not so much change for Accent expected for 2017 model year, the design of the hatchback will stay the same, as it was mention above, the car will get SE designation, higher trim levels will get Sport name.
2017 Hyundai Accent sedan
In 2017 the Accent sedan will come back to showrooms, adding the special Value Edition – the car will be equipped with features, previously available only with two option packages. It includes bluetooth connectivity; audio control buttons on the steering wheel; cruise control; center armrest with storage box; 16-inch rims; rear disc brakes. Without such package, the sedan is available only with initial SE trim.

The initial price for Accent starts from just $15,000 which makes it one of the most affordable compact sedans on the market. Basic trim has almost anything you need for an affordable car, such as power windows and locks, keyless entry, and air conditioner. Options and adding automatic might increase the price up to $18,000.

Under the hood will be a 1.6 liter 4-cylinder engine, producing approximately 137 BHP, this will be coupled with either manual or auto transmission.
2017 Hyundai Accent MPG rating, estimated by EPA is depends on transmission. So, manual version of cars has 27 mpg in city, 38 mpg in highway, and 31 mpg in combined cycle. Automatic versions consumes just a little bit more – 26/37/30 mpg in city, highway and combined driving cycles respectively.

The Korean sedan has undergone quite a makeover, the new for 2017 model will feature a redesigned front end, making it look bigger and a little more muscular. Coupled to that are updated headlights and different optics, plus there will be a restyled rear fender, tailgate and different rims.

Although the exterior has been restyled somewhat, the overall size is the same as the previous model, but it’s inside where the main changes have happened; the general finish of the materials has been improved, it has better noise insulation, an updated multifunction steering wheel and redesigned dash that makes the seats instantly more comfortable and ergonomic.
We also see an updated multimedia system with modern touchscreen and various other electronic systems fitted as standard.
