the Jeep brand, which celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2016, will back pickup modification of “Wrangler” Just like in old times.

By the end of the decade Jeep product line will be updated and supplemented by old-school off-road vehicles. One of the most interesting cars, promising a combination of practicality and fun will be pick-up version of the new generation Wrangler.

The glorious history of the brand has a few pages devoted to various pickup trucks of different size classes. Jeep Gladiator (1962-1988) Based on the full-size Jeep Wagoneer SJ. He was replaced by Comanche, created on Cherokee XJ basis. In parallel with its elder brothers CJ-8 Scrambler was made, the grandson of Willys Jeep Truck and grandfather of upcoming Jeep pickup.

Jeep engineers have long been hatching plans to release something like this, declaring intentions by many pickup concept cars. It is suffice to recall Gladiator concept car in 2005 and the recent show car Wrangler Red Rock Responder, causing the fans burning resentment. Still – teasing but nothing to be released.

Structurally, the car remains the same: if it will remain a rigid axle and a steel framed body. The range of powertrains, is likely to be identical to Wrangler and will include petrol and diesel engines mated to a 8-speed automatic. SUV station wagon will debut in late 2017, and the pickup rolled out in 2016.
