Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet Beyond Luxury Limits

Mercedes continue to widen limits of luxury. They’ve introduced their new limited production which is known as Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet. The carmaker revealed the first details about this model soon after Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster presentation during latest Motor Show in Paris. A few months have passed on and Mercedes are ready to tell us even more about their sophisticated and elegant model. Here’s what we know from the recent Auto Show in Los Angeles.

To begin with, the car is so opulent and posh that it is going to be even beyond luxury segment. It will inevitably influence the price of the auto which is said to be as much as $247,900.
According to the carmaker, they are going to focus not on cosmetic issues only but also on its performance and handling.

They promise that they’re going to improve Maybach series a lot. As for the interior, the company plans to add a number of small but important details which will make your drive much more comfortable. The exterior is going to include more chrome and other rich looking elements. Even though S-class is one of the best cars in the world, Mercedes plan to improve more.

So this is the model is for those who want more. This is why Mercedes need another flagship. The one which would suit the most sophisticated taste. This is the mission of the upcoming Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet. So Mercedes aren’t going to stop. They do want to develop the segment of luxury to its limits and even further which is ambitious and intriguing enough.

As you understand the auto will include a lot of first class materials. Among them are leather and wood with a lot of chrome. Nevertheless, Mercedes say they’re going to make a classic car which looks modern instead of a classical car which looks boring. The fact is that they’ve always wanted to see Maybach as a modern brand but they don’t forget about the market of traditional luxury, though.

Limited S650 will use the same platform as a typical S-Class Cabriolet. It’s said that new Maybach will be a limited production which is true. They’re going to produce 300 units only. 75 of them will be sold on U.S. market so if you want to obtain it, you need to hurry up. Each of the models will have a numbered plaque. In addition, it will be signed by CEO of the company.

There’re not many details about which engine will be used but there’s an idea that it will be a V12 unit with 6.0 liters. The engine is good for as much as 625 BHP and 738 lb-ft of torque. If the model will use it, the auto will be able to make it 0-60 in 4.1s with 155 MPH of top speed.
