New Equipment of 2018 Model Year Chevy Impala

By

New generation of Chevrolet Impala is on its way to the market. This vehicle is born as a full-size sedan and has some interesting renovations you’d like to see. New Impala will get new exterior colors and new packages. However, some of the beloved features will be gone.

Losses

Starting right off the bat let’s talk about exterior colors. 2018 Impala will lose one of them in order to get three new shades. Now you can completely forget about what you knew as Siren Red Tintcoat. Instead you can choose between such variants as Nightfall Gray Metallic, Graphite Metallic and Cajun Red Tintcoat.

To the disappointment of some drivers new Impala won’t have its 19-inch aluminum wheels anymore. Neither will it offer a grille which matches the overall body color. Chrome covered mirror caps are a thing of the past too. Rear spoiler is gone as well. If you loved Impala’s Rear Park Assist, its manual-foldable rear head restraints and cargo convenience net, you can’t use them all either.

New Features

Perhaps it will make you happy to know that a new Package will stay. It’s called Sunroof and Spoiler Package. Instead of previous features it comes with a power, tilt-sliding sunroof. The sunroof comes with a new type of sliding glass which looks nice. An interesting kind of sunshade is also included. If you buy an LT model, you can still have a rear spoiler. In addition, this generation is delivered with 3.6-litre V6 LFX unit.

An abundance of new standard features is one of 2018 Impala’s strengths. For example, you can enjoy Premium Cloth/Leatherette in Jet Black/Dark Titanium. By the way these are the materials which are used for the LT variants. What’s more the vehicle is provided with IO3 AM/FM stereo. It also has an auxiliary jack and provides a 4.2-inch infotainment display. Now you have the access to Chevrolet MyLink Radio. Being equipped with such an artillery this vehicle also has keyless “Open and Start” feature. To monitor things around you can use rear view camera.

LS trim level will give almost the same features including 8-inch infotainment display, a USB port as well as a compass are at your disposal too. LT variant will offer a system to start your vehicle in a remote way and Daytime Running Lamps of LED kind. Premier variant is good, if you need Universal Home Remote system, a sophisticated sound and an opportunity to charge your devices in a wireless way.
