The new low cost Tesla might be presented on 2016 Geneva motor show

Six months after the 2016 Tesla Model X crossover become available for purchase, we will see the long-awaited low-cost sedan Model 3. The new product will be released On the market no earlier than in 2017.

Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated world premiere of Tesla Model 3 will take place in March 2016. Considering that this month there is one of the largest auto show usually hold – in Geneva – we can with certainty say that the we will see low cost electric sedan on this event. The pre-orders will open immideately after the premiere, however the first customers get their cars in the mid up to late 2017.

Elon Musk also confirmed Model 3 pricing: 35 000 dollars in the United States. To achieve such dump price Tesla Motors have to use low-cost batteries, which by that time will be manufactured at the plant in Nevada (which is under construction now) called Gigafactory. At the same time buyers do not have to compromise on the key characteristics of an electric vehicle – mileage between charges will be at least 240 miles.
