Volkswagen I.D. Buzz Concept Could Be The Future Microbus Successor

According to the latest claims by Volkswagen, their future is closely connected with electrically powered cars. To prove that their promises are true Volkswagen has unveiled their I.D. Buzz Concept. In fact, this is a microbus which has been modified for the 21st century. What’s more, the company plans to have sold around half a million of electric cars by 2025.

2017 Volkswagen Microbus is all electric. The model belongs to the I.D. family of Volkswagen which is the future of the company. There are assumptions that this minivan will become a figurehead for an upcoming Uber rival, MOIA.

Volkswagen has already stated that they’re going to turn their I.D. Buzz into a minivan of the future. What does it mean? Unfortunately, they haven’t revealed any more details yet but we assume that 2017 Volkswagen Microbus will be something environmentally friendly, compact, nice looking and with interesting features.

The whole concept looks boxy and compact enough. In fact, the microbus inherits a lot from the legendary Type 2 Microbus. In fact, it was inspired by Volkswagen T1 and Type 2. So the new concept has a retro type of design which brings you back to 1950s. Judging from this we expect Volkswagen I.D. Buzz Concept to include two-tone paint job. Speaking of its body it’s described as blunt at the front part while its rear part is kind of lifted. The Concept is wide enough at the rear part providing enough space for passengers and luggage.

In addition, there are LED technologies used. The concept has been seen with large 22 inch wide wheels. As for the platform used it is a modified version of MEB platform. The vehicle includes 3.3m wheelbase.

Volkswagen I.D. Buzz Concept Interior

There’s not much about Volkswagen I.D. Buzz interior but some information is still available. Inside of the Concept, there’s a feeling that it’s made for comfort and relaxation. There’re eight seats. All seats are all adjustable so you won’t have many problems with them. There’s also a head-up display which show a lot of information.

Volkswagen I.D. Buzz Concept Specifications

This Concept is of an all-wheel-drive type. Speaking of productivity Volkswagen I.D. Buzz is rather impressive for an electric vehicle. This model can output up to 370 horsepower which is good enough. The official speed numbers haven’t been announced yet but we assume that I.D. Buzz could make it 0-60 in 5.0 seconds. Its top speed is estimated as much as 99 MPH.
