Chevrolet to produce 2017 Chevrolet Avalanche limited series


General Motors are to stop production of the Avalanche pickup, but not before one last hurrah; for the final version, they will be creating the Chevrolet Avalanche Black Diamond as a limited edition. It is expected that the Black Diamond will be fitted with more equipment than ever and perhaps even have a price reduction!

2017 Chevy Avalanche release date

No dates have yet been set, but we expect the limited edition to go on sale by the middle of next year.

2017 Chevrolet Avalanche redesign

With only minor changes to the exterior, mainly relating to the designation of the model, there has been a lot happening on the inside; parking sensors, rear view camera, fog lights and push button start have been incorporated, but better still, the price will be reduced by $2,500.

2017 Avalanche price

As already mentioned, the price for a special version of the 2017 Chevrolet Avalanche Black Diamond will be reduced by $ 2,500.

The Avalanche Black Diamond will have the 5.3 liter V8 engine fitted, this produces around 324 BHP and 334 lb/ft of torque.

Other new features will be a three compartment, waterproof cover and a step in the rear fender to facilitate access to the load area.

The special LS version will also get Park Assist, rear view camera, fog lights and electrically adjustable pedals.

The LT Performance model will get added styling in the form of color-coded roof rails and other detail touches, bringing it inline with the market leader; the Cadillac Escalade EXT.

In all, there were about 580,000 Avalanche’s produced to date, the reason that the model is so popular is because Chevrolet got the combination of utility, performance and luxury just right; the truck can be used for everyday use or loaded up by a tradesman for work – it just fits in so many different categories.

No doubt that Chevy have something lined up to replace the Avalanche – something this popular will be missed.

    Not sure if this is true ? Asked several Chevrolet dealers called General Motors and all have told me there will be no more Chevrolet Avalanche black diamond? If anyone knows any information about the 2017 Avalanche Black Diamond can you please reply

As before, the Avalanche will be based on Chevy Tahoe, but now have completely new more powerful engine, and minor updates in both exterior and interior.
