The new for 2017 Cadillac CTS has recently been launched to the public, Cadillac have already completed the restyle and has been well received.

2017 Cadillac CTS release date

Cadillac intends to start selling the CTS later this year, although they haven’t yet released any prices, but we believe that it will be cheaper than its rivals from Europe, in particular, Germany, and that can only be a good thing.

This Caddy really does have some sporty features; a carbon fiber hood for instance. There are holes in the hood for ventilation and cooling, and further holes in the fender, both for cooling and air intakes for the engine. A restyled front grille finishes the look.
Further, the Caddy also comes with front splitter, rear diffuser and an optional rear wing, all made from carbon fiber. There are four tail pipes on the exhaust and the rims are 19” forged alloy.
As usual, the interior is full of quality materials and well-designed.

Both seats are trimmed in leather, and carbon fiber inserts are littered throughout the interior, giving quite a sporty feel and look. In addition, the new model has a next-gen media system, that comes with a massive 12” touchscreen. In the options check list is a Performance Data Recorder, for those moments when you’re on track and want to understand where you’re losing (or gaining) performance.

The 2017 CTS will get a relatively economical 2.0 liter, I4 turbocharged engine, producing quite a hefty 268 BHP and 295 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to the smaller engine and well managed fuel injection, it should be possible to get anywhere between 21 – 29 MPG. The car is quite light, agile and sporty, it has a 0 – 60 MPH time of 5.8 seconds.

2017 Cadillac CTS-V

The CTS will also be available as the CTS-V; something more extreme – it is fitted with 6.2 liter forced induction engine, making a massive 640 BHP, coupled to an 8-speed auto transmission, the car should see a 0 – 60 MPH of about 4 seconds dead, but more impressive than that, estimated top speed should be 200 MPH, meaning that it will be capable of giving the German rivals quite a run for the their money.
